About Me

I can truly relate to what many people go through in the family court process, because I have lived it myself.

When I first entered the court system, I believed I had no option but to use legal representation, something I simply could not afford at the time. I felt lost, overwhelmed, and unsure of what direction to take. The stress, worry, fear, and ongoing trouble caused by the other party made it an incredibly difficult experience. It felt like things would never get better because I didn’t understand the process or know where to turn.

Thankfully, I had someone close to me who offered support when I needed it most. With no other choice, I represented myself. Over time, as I navigated the court maze, I gained a great deal of knowledge, confidence, and first-hand experience. In the end, I was awarded custody of my children, a moment that lifted an enormous weight from my shoulders.

After my case concluded, I found myself continuing to support others who were going through the same court process. I shared advice, guidance, and reassurance, and in some cases, I even attended court with them for support. Helping others through such a challenging time made me realise this was something meaningful I could offer.

I was encouraged by many people to take this further, so I gave it serious thought. I decided to complete formal training to deepen my knowledge and gained a certification to support my work. From this, McKenzie Friends Family Court Support (MFFCS) was created.

The truth is, you don’t always need legal representation. Too often, people turn to solicitors only to watch their bank balance disappear. Legal fees quickly add up, leaving many in debt, relying on credit cards or borrowing from friends and family, all while the stress continues.

My aim is to show you another way. I provide knowledge, guidance, and practical support to help you represent yourself with confidence and clarity, without the financial burden of costly legal fees.
